I attended the following sessions on Wednesday: Integrating Technology into the Language Arts Classroom, Trends, Tactics and Tools for 21st Century Learning, Shout It Out Loud Tools and Apps for the Amplifying Student Voices through Formative Assessment, and Reading for Meaning-Fluency. One of my highlights from this day was learning various ways to formatively assess my students using technology. I loved the idea of creating a class Twitter Account for students to write in 140 characters what they have learned about a particular topic. Students can also tell what they learned through a class blog. During this day of workshops, I also learned a great number of apps and other online resources that can be used in the classroom such as lino, socrative, confer, prezi, splash math, kwl creator, spelling city, edmodo, and voki.
